Xiang Si (Remembrance)

The red beans grow in the southland

Flourish on the branches when spring comes

Would you gather an armful, I pray

For the fond love and remembrance they express.

( Week 4 ) Adult Class – song: 明明白白我的心 Míng míng bái bái wǒ de xīn

Click picture to listen to the song ↑

F: Understand my heart
I long for true love
I’ve been heartbroken by love before
Why is it easy to awaken from sweet dreams?

M: You have a pair of gentle eyes
You have a kind, understanding heart and soul
If you’re willing to let me be close to you
I think you will understand my heart

F: Starlight glitters, and the wind is soft
A lonely girl’s heart bidding farewell to a past love is even more so
Heal the scars, never again will I let my tears flow until dawn

M: I understand your heart
It longs for true love
F: I’ve been heartbroken by love before
Why is it easy to awaken from sweet dreams?

M: You have a pair of gentle eyes
You have a kind, understanding heart and soul
If you’re willing to let me be close to you
I’m willing to listen to what’s on your mind

F: Understand my heart
I long for true love
I’ve been brokenhearted by love before
Why is it easy to awaken from sweet dreams?

A SPRING MORNING

                                                                          Meng Haoran

I awake light-hearted this morning of spring,

Everywhere round me the singing of birds —

But now I remember the night, the storm,

And I wonder how many blossoms were broken

Song: 虎姑婆hǔ gū pó

click picture to listen to the song ↑

once upon a time

there was a well known horrible legend

it says that when parents go out

there would come an aunt who was transformed from a tiger

once she bursts into your house

in the midnight, the aunt would eat children’s fingers right away

ever since then, she became all children’s nightmares

we call her the auntie tiger.

Basically, the intention of the story is to give a warning

to the child that do not really believe the stranger so easily

and do not let the stranger come in house easily.
